Pitta is usually translated as "fire" or "heat". It is the Dosha in charge of transformation and things like metabolism and bravery. It has the qualities of being burning, sharp, liquid, and oily. Pitta Dosha people are often of medium build, possess warm and fair skin that may sunburn easily, and have thin fine hair. People with this dosha are mentally and verbally sharp, purposeful, and often very ambitious, confident, and energetic.
This skin is prone to acne and is less tolerant to hot and spicy foods. When out of balance, this skin type can flare up with sunburn, acne, and sunspots.
